“I help people with a wide variety of issues. I have qualifications as a clinical and coaching psychologist, and have over 15 years of professional experience. This means I have skills to help clients change the feelings, thoughts and behaviours that trouble them. My background includes training in psychology, psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and hypnotherapy so I can offer a number of different ideas and approaches to assist you. I have expertise in helping with issues associated with trauma, life adjustment problems, depressed mood, anxiety, personality issues, drug and alcohol abuse / dependency, and grief. I work by using the Schema Therapy model to take ideas from different psychotherapy schools such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavour Therapy (DBT) and Gestalt to give you strategies for change. I have helped a large number of people with a wide variety of issues including those recovering from traumatic experience(s), drug and alcohol addictions, as well as those affected by major life crises. I am interested in finding patterns in client’s lives that may be sabotaging or unhelpful and try to confront these in a supportive and caring manner. I will work with you to provide strategies to change these negative patterns so that your potential can be realised and your quality of life improved. I am registered with the Australian Psychology Board and a member of the Australian Psychological Society.”
